Fallow deer

Meet “Emil“ in the large fallow deer area. He is the boss of around twenty fallow deer does and their young. During the summer fallow deer remind us of “Bambi“ as their fur is full of white spots. Unlike most other deer species, who are only spotted as young, fallow deer retain their spots for a lifetime and they appear every summer. In winter, the fur is uniformly grey and brown.
